In beach towns across Southeast Asia, connection stability can vary drastically between co-workings and local cafes. I have started cataloging packet loss and jitter metrics over open VPN protocols to map the best remote workspaces. Here are my baseline findings.
tbh public cafe wifi is a nightmare for packet loss and security smh. i always tunnel everything through wireguard on a custom vps to bypass local throttling. definitely post the raw numbers once you finish the benchmarks, super curious about the jitter differences.
