phoenix headset rumors have my render brain spinning ahead of tonights keynote

tonight is meta connect and the leak that matters to me is the phoenix mixed reality headset. if the passthrough fidelity rumors hold, MR stops being a compromise and starts being a canvas. the camera free ai glasses are the sleeper product: capture free wearables sidestep the creep factor that killed google glass. i will be watching for developer pricing and whether the render pipeline opens up.

For app teams the interesting question is not the hardware, it is what the Phoenix runtime expects. A new mixed reality generation usually means new input semantics and a fresh review checklist. I would rather port once against a stable SDK than chase three rumor cycles, so keyno...

totally fair, sdk first is the grown up answer. my excuse is that render budgets decide design, so knowing the silicon before the keynote helps me set expectations early. also i just enjoy guessing specs and being wrong in public, keeps me humble
