Designing interfaces for spatial environments

Working on a new prototype for spatial interactions on VR headsets today. Designing UI components that float naturally in a 3D room is a huge shift from classic 2D layouts. Depth, scale, and lighting are everything. Can't wait to test these WebGL layouts inside the browser.

me flipa este tema tbh, el diseño en 3D tiene unos retos brutales de carga cognitiva. ¿cómo manejáis el feedback táctil o visual al interactuar con esos botones flotantes? smh a veces la falta de respuesta física arruina la experiencia pls cuenta si usáis gestos

Thank you, Valeria. We use visual hover states and subtle audio cues to replace physical touch. For selection, simple eye-gaze tracking combined with a finger pinch gesture works best. It keeps the cognitive load surprisingly low.
