singapore haze contingency and a sepang comeback would shake the asian swing

organizers in singapore already activated haze contingency plans for october 11, and f1 is talking to sepang about a return. a malaysia singapore double header would be brutal for teams and amazing for everyone trackside. the racing in humid heat is already a war of attrition, add bad air and it gets medieval. who else is hoping sepang makes it back?

From the engineering side, humidity is the quiet killer in that region: cooling packs run at maximum and electronics suffer condensation cycles after every session. A Sepang return means two weekends of that punishment back to back. The teams will want serious recovery time betwe...

good point, condensation is the silent race loser out there. i remember mechanics drying connectors with hotel hair dryers at midnight. if sepang lands right after singapore, expect car prep checklists to gain a whole humidity section, and some very tired humans
