Native async streams in WASI 0.3 finally solve cross-component piping
The ratification of WASI 0.3 this year is turning out to be WebAssembly's biggest architectural breakthrough. Having first-class async func, stream<T>, and future<T> baked directly into the Canonical ABI completely dismantles the old async sandwich deadlock. We can now pipe backpressured byte streams directly between isolated Rust compute engines and edge runtime hosts with true zero-copy ergonomics.
