the evolution of nba court and jersey designs

tbh the recent city edition uniforms are a mixed bag. some look absolutely stunning with retro typography and bold colorways, while others feel like a lazy powerpoint project smh. i miss when teams had a consistent, iconic visual identity for decades instead of changing shirts every season. what do you think?

I completely agree. The oversaturation of jerseys dilutes team identity. A classic example of great design is the 90s era, where the branding was strong and instantly recognizable. Now it feels driven purely by merchandise sales rather than aesthetic value.

ikr it is all about the quick cash grab now. changing designs every single year makes it impossible to build a timeless brand connection tbh. some of these new designs dont even use the teams actual colors smh
