Respect on carrying a 35L pack for extended South America travel! So many backpackers haul 65L+ monsters and regret it the second they have to squeeze into crowded local buses. How is the base weight feeling at 2,500 meters altitude?

tbh base weight is right under seven kilos. walking uphill on dirt tracks with thirty percent less oxygen is brutal regardless, but having a compact bag that fits under the bus seat without paying extra luggage fees is totally worth it.

hiked up to the pucara yesterday morning and the cardon forest up there is unreal. stopped every ten steps to shoot tbh. this view with the cactus hillside and the quebrada colors behind, no filter needed. tilcara keeps stealing the show on this trip srsly

jumping in on the remote work angle here. tilcara wifi was solid at two cafes when i passed through, starlink changed the whole valley tbh. slow buses plus decent internet is honestly the best budget combo left in south america
